Our Unit
Raleigh Battalion is the triangle area's unit of the Sea Cadets. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a youth leadership program built around our highest values of Honor, Respect, Commitment, and Service. Our mission is to build Leaders of Character who will be responsible citizens and future leaders of our country. Our cadets learn life skills, leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline through a variety of activities and training programs.
Our Programs
Our program provides a unique opportunity for young people to develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in various fields such as aviation, engineering, seamanship, and more. Our cadets participate in local and national training events, community service projects, and international exchanges.

100% Attendance
Every eligible cadet attended at least one training in 2023. To be eligible, cadets must pass recruit orientation.
100% Acceptance
All Raleigh Battalion graduates who applied to service academies, or applied for ROTC scholarships, were accepted in 2023.
233 Service Hours
We logged over 230 hours of community service in 2023. We love giving back to the community!
