New Recruit Onboarding

Welcome new recruits! You are about to embark on a fun, challenging, and enriching adventure with the Raleigh Battalion. Hooyah!

Below are some helpful onboarding materials to help educate you and your family about the tools and resources you'll need in order to be successful in the program.

Cadets, if you have questions, be sure to address them first with your chain of command.

Uniform Guides & Orientation Resources

NLCC Uniforms

Navy League Cadet Recruits will need PT gear, a League Dress Uniform, and Type III Work Uniforms. Most of the uniforms and equipment will be issued to you once our Supply Officer has taken measurements. A few accessory items will need to be purchased by a parent or guardian.

NSCC Uniforms

Naval Sea Cadet Recruits will need PT gear, a Dress White Uniform, and Type III Work Uniforms. Most of the uniforms and equipment will be issued to you once our Supply Officer has taken measurements. A few accessory items will need to be purchased by a parent or guardian.

Communication & Events

Spond is a free app with over 3M active users. The Spond app is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Raleigh Battalion uses the Spond app for communication and event coordination.

IMPORTANT!

Read the Raleigh Battalion's Spond Intro and Setup Instructions before setting up your account.

​To join the Raleigh Battalion in Spond, click the button below, or enter group code NHHXD after you have set up your Spond account per the Raleigh Battalion's Spond Intro and Setup Instructions.

If you do not have a smartphone, you will need to use a web browser to interact with the app. Contact our Parents' Liaison and we'll set you up manually with your contact info. Whether you use the app or web browser, all Navy League and Sea Cadet Recruits will need their own email address in order to properly communicate with the Raleigh Battalion.
